
University Scholarships
Florida
State University recognizes and rewards academic achievement by awarding
scholarships on a competitive basis to A.A. degree recipients from Florida
public community colleges.
Admitted students are automatically considered
for the University Scholarship and the Incentive Scholarship. An application
must be completed for the Phi Theta Kappa scholarship. Students are
eligible for only one of these awards.
University Scholarship for Transfers
A $2,000 scholarship
over two years. Recipients are selected from the best Florida public
community college A.A. transfer students admitted to the University
based upon cumulative college GPA. A separate application is not required. Contact

this scholarship.
Incentive
Scholarship for Transfers
A $2,000 scholarship over two years. Recipients are selected from the best Florida public community college A.A. minority transfer students admitted to the University based upon cumulative college GPA. Phi
Theta Kappa Scholarships
A $2,000 scholarship
over two years. Applications are available from the chapter advisers
at the Florida public community colleges, by contacting the Office of

Minority
Community College Transfer Scholarship
Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, this program has been suspended.
Departmental
Scholarships
A number of Florida
State University's academic departments offer scholarships to upper-division
students interested in pursuing their majors. Additional information
can be obtained directly from the individual academic departments.
Talent
Scholarships
Music, Dance, and
BFA Theatre offer talent-based scholarships. Consideration for these
awards is based upon student auditions. Additional information can be
obtained directly from the individual academic department.
